Referring to the problems of people in paying dental fees, Mohammad Mahdi Nashi said: Unfortunately, dental services did not have much place in basic insurances, and health insurance covers services in this area since two years ago.
Referring to the plan proposed by the Supreme Council of Health Insurance, he added: According to this plan, all dental services, except for implants and orthodontics, will be covered by basic insurance.
Nasehi continued: The implementation of this plan requires the cooperation and approval of the program and budget organization, which we hope will solve the problems of people’s oral and dental health.
He added: The implementation of such plans is done in order to reduce the payment from the pockets of the people.
The CEO of Iran Health Insurance Organization stated regarding psychological services that are covered by basic insurance: psychological visits and individual, group and family psychotherapy are covered by basic insurances.
